Dear friends and music lovers,
Few days ago, it was time to say goodbye to 2016 and jump into 2017.
What a year it has been!! Looking back, I can see it was definitely a year of musical explorations. I sung Jazz and Opera. I sung Duke Ellington and Marriage of Figaro (twice!), I sung Dido and Aeneas and I even tried myself at Amy Winehouse! I had the great opportunity to record an album with our own songs “In Heaven’s River” that I co-wrote with my friend Benjamin, I sung Mozart’s Requiem and in the meantime I wrote some lyrics for a quite well known pop songwriter… It has been wild and crazy, tiring at times, but absolutely amazing and meaningful.
I feel grateful for all those beautiful people I met along this year who touched my heart. All those great artists I was lucky to work with who helped me to become a better artist and a better person. For the friends who have been around for so long and who keep giving me support and inspiration.
Thank you for your support and friendship! Let’s open up to 2017 now!
So I will wish you a wonderful year by quoting Goethe:
“Seize this very minute;
What you can do, or dream you can do, begin it;
Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.”
Let’s be bold! Let’s fall in love with the mess of our life, the good surprises, our shattered dreams, our sudden impulses, our unexpected sorrows and joys, our beautiful encounters,
our unforeseen new passions, let’s listen to these wild, uncontrollable, unplanned, voices of our hearts. And let’s create from there, let’s share, let’s sing, let’s dance, have a wonderful year!!! I’ll keep you posted for the new projects of this year. With all my love and gratitude xxx
Between two Mozart’s arias, I will be singing in a different style with Archipol on the 19th and 20th of February 2016 at the Toulouse Lautrec brasserie a selection of popular french songs and some original composition from my friend Paul Vialard. Intimate and acoustic concert, please join us!
